Online public voting will determine top 20 finalists.
DAVENPORT, Iowa. (Aug. 1, 2011) – A total of 157 non-profits have entered RK Dixon’s 2011 Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest for a chance to win a $15,000 office technology makeover.
RK Dixon, a leading provider of copiers, printers, IT services, managed print services and pure drinking water systems, is now giving the public a chance to support their favorite non-profit organization by simply casting their votes online.
The Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest provides non-profit organizations in more than 80 counties across eastern Iowa, Illinois and southern Wisconsin the opportunity to win an office equipment makeover valued at up to $15,000. The first runner-up will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $10,000. The two remaining winners will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $5,000. In addition, RK Dixon will also award eight printers each valued at up to $1,000.
Now that the registration period is over, the 157 non-profits that are participating will have to rely on public voting to get them into the final round.
“This is the first year the contest is being offered to non-profits in all RK Dixon locations simultaneously, and the response we’ve received so far has been incredible,” said Bryan Dixon, president and CEO of RK Dixon. “We hope the public understands that their votes can make a difference in who will ultimately win an office technology makeover that these organizations could otherwise not afford.”
Online voting will be open Monday, Aug. 1 until Monday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. Visit www.rkdixon.com and cast one vote each day for the non-profit of your choice.
After the 20 finalists are selected, the second and final round of voting will begin Aug. 26. RK Dixon has partnered with WIFR-TV, WEEK-TV, KWQC-TV and WICS-TV to promote the contest and highlight finalists’ stories.
The winner of the Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest is scheduled to be announced the week of Sept. 19.
