RK Dixon announces finalists in $15,000
Make My Non-Profit Run Better
office technology makeover contest
Second round of public voting will determine contest winners

 
DAVENPORT, Iowa – After more than 33,000 votes were cast, the 157 non-profit organizations competing to win a $15,000 office technology makeover from RK Dixon have been narrowed down to a group of top 20 finalists.

The 20 finalists are:

• Arc of the Quad Cities Area
• Arrowhead
• Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Illinois Capital Region
• Careers, Etc.
• Catholic Charities of Coles, Douglas, and Edgar Counties
• Crisis Nursery
• Developmental Services Center (DSC)
• GiGi's Playhouse Rockford
• Handicapped Development Center
• Holy Trinity Catholic School
• Hult Center for Health Education & Cancer Center for Healthy Living
• Humility of Mary Shelter, Inc.
• Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful
• Kishwaukee United Way
• Lourdes Catholic School
• MERCY Communities, Inc
• Peoria Friendship House
• Sinnissippi Centers, Inc.
• TAPS No-Kill Animal Shelter (Tazewell Animal Protective Society)
• The Baby Fold

The Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest provides non-profit organizations in more than 80 counties across eastern Iowa, Illinois and southern Wisconsin the opportunity to win an office technology makeover valued at up to $15,000. The first runner-up will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $10,000. The two remaining winners will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $5,000. In addition, RK Dixon will also award eight printers each valued at up to $1,000.

The second round of online voting will help determine the winners in the contest. Voting will commence on Aug. 26 and end on Friday, Sept. 2. RK Dixon has partnered with WIFR-TV, WEEK-TV, KWQC-TV and WICS-TV to promote the contest and highlight finalists’ stories.

The winner of the Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest is scheduled to be announced the week of Sept. 19.
