August 25th, 2011 20 non-profit finalists compete for chance to win DAVENPORT, Iowa. – The non-profit organizations vying for a $15,000 technology makeover supplied by RK Dixon only have one final hurdle to overcome: the 2nd round of public online voting. Non-profits will rely on its supporters to gather enough votes to be crowned the grand prize winner in RK Dixon’s Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest. Voting will begin on Friday, Aug. 26 and end on Friday, Sept. 2 at 5 p.m. Supporters can vote once a day for their favorite non-profit finalist. The 20 finalists are:
The Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest provides non-profit organizations in more than 80 counties across eastern Iowa, Illinois and southern Wisconsin the opportunity to win an office technology makeover valued at up to $15,000. The first runner-up will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $10,000. The two remaining winners will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $5,000. In addition, RK Dixon will also award eight printers each valued at up to $1,000. The winner of the Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest is scheduled to be announced the week of Sept. 19. RK Dixon has partnered with WIFR-TV, WEEK-TV, KWQC-TV and WICS-TV to promote the contest and highlight finalists’ stories. |
