Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest narrows to 10 non-profits hoping to win a portion of $60,000 in total prizes
Second round of voting to select winning organizations begins today
DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 25, 2015) – Of the 44 organizations that entered the 11th annual Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest, 10 entrants have made it on to the second round of online voting for a chance to win a portion of $60,000 in office technology prizes from RK Dixon.
The second round of online voting, which begins today and will end at 5 p.m. on July 29, will determine which of the 10 non-profit finalists will be awarded office technology makeovers and equipment packages that are designed to make the non-profits run better and enhance their ability to focus on their mission.
The 10 finalists, which consist of five “large” non-profits and five “small” non-profits, will now again rely on the public’s votes to win the makeover.
After more than 10,500 votes were cast during the first round of online voting, the 10 finalists are:
Small non-profit finalists
- Generation Healthy Kids
- The GOALS Project (Going On Against Life’s Struggles)
- The James Project
- Midwest Mission Distribution Center
- Saint Mary School
Large non-profit finalists
- Boys & Girls Club of Central Illinois
- Eberhardt Senior Community
- Prairieland Service Coordination, Inc.
- Springfield Urban League Inc.
- Webster-Cantrell Hall
The first prize winner in the “large” non-profit category will receive an office technology makeover valued at up to $30,000. The second prize winner will receive an equipment package valued at up to $10,000. The first prize winner in the “small” non-profit category will receive an office technology makeover valued at up to $15,000. The second prize winner will receive an equipment package valued at up to $5,000.
The winner of the Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest is scheduled to be announced Aug. 4.
